HP releases Core i7 based Pavilion Elite m9600 Desktop and Four new LCDsSubmitted by lalit on March 25, 2009 - 3:01pm.
Like most new processors, Core i7s were initially available in only high-end gaming desktops, but now mainstream desktop featuring Core i7 processors have started appearing. HP today announced Pavilion Elite m9600 desktop with option of either 2.66GHz Core i7-920 processor or 2.93GHz Core i7-940 processor. The m9600 comes with up to 12GB DDR3 memory, up to 1TB storage, DVD burner standard (optional Blu-ray Burner) and selection of graphics cards that include 768MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600GS, 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT or 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4850. The Pavilion Elite m9600 is available now on HP’s website for a starting price of $949.99. Along with the new desktop, HP has also launched four new Full HD 16:9 LCD monitors. The first display in the lineup is 18.5-inch HP w1858 priced for $169, second display is $199 20-inch HP 2009m, third display is 21.5-inch HP 2159m for $239 and the last display in the lineup is 23-inch HP w2338h for $299.
