Dell Announces T3500, T5500 and T7500 Precision Workstations based on Nehalem ProcessorsSubmitted by lalit on March 25, 2009 - 10:48am.
Dell today added three new Precision Workstations to its desktop lineup. All three workstations use Intel’s new Xeon processors that are based on Nehalem architecture. The workstations are Energy Star 5.0 compliant and features E-SATA port, USB ports, DisplayPort, DVI output, up to 1.5TB hard drive and up to four monitors. The main differentiating factor between the three desktop is the amount of RAM they can support. The T3500 model that has starting price of $999 can support up to 24GB DDR3 ECC RAM, the second model T5500 that starts at $1,620 can support up to 72GB RAM and the top of the line T7500 that has starting price of $1,800 can support up to 192GB DDR3 RAM. The top two models can be configured with dual socket Intel Xeon processors and the T7500 models also supports dual graphics card via NVIDIA SLI technology making it a true powerhouse.
