After introducing cheap netbooks, companies like Asus, Acer and now Samsung are adding premium netbooks to their lineup to increase profit margins. Samsung today added N310 a premium notebook that weigh 2.71 pounds and features a 10.1-inch LCD screen. Samsung describes the new curvy casing of N310 as “pebble smooth” and it has a large embossed Samsung logo on top. The N310 will come with 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1.3-megapixel webcam, 160GB hard drive, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth, multi card reader, 3 USB ports and optional HSDPA or WiMax support. The netbook will have a battery life of 5 hours. Though specification-wise there is nothing premium about N310, but price-wise Samsung will charge a premium, the N310 will be priced Euro 499 (around $700). Samsung will start shipping the N310 on April 6th 2009.
