Samsung Galaxy S IV Rumors

Samsung has already announced the March 14th Galaxy S IV launch event in Times Square, New York at 7PM. And with that announcement the floodgates of Galaxy S IV rumors have been opened. Below are some of the more credible rumors about Galaxy S IV that are likely to come true.

  • Galaxy S IV will feature a 5-inch full HD 1080p Display (we have also heard that it might be a 4.8-inch 1080p display). One thing we know for sure is that it will be a Full HD display. Quad Core processors will power the S IV.
  • We have heard that like Galaxy S III, the new IV will also have multiple processor options depending on the region. It is likely that US version will use quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the international version will use Samsung’s own Exynos 5 quad core processor. The rumors that it will use the next generation octa-core processor from Samsung won’t come true this time.
  • It will come with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a full HD front camera.
  • Galaxy S IV will offer 16GB, 32GB or 64GB onboard storage with microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB.
  • Initially, it will be available in two colors black and white. Like Galaxy S III, Samsung will add more color options later this year.

Few things that you won’t be hearing at this announcement: First, Samsung will not use some revolutionary material to make the Galaxy S IV, for competing with iPhone 5’s fit and finish. Also, it won’t be much thinner and lighter than current Galaxy S III, the difference will be less than 15%.

It will be interesting to see what Samsung comes up with, as Galaxy S IV will be the lead device for Android platform in 2013.
