Fading iMac Stocks at Major Resellers, Indicating to Imminent Updates

AppleInsider is reporting that 3.06GHz iMac model’s availability has run dry at several online resellers like MacMall, OnSale and ClubMac. On Apple’s website also the wait time has increased from usual 24 hours to 2-4 days for the high end iMac. However the biggest indication that the iMac updates are inching closer is that Amazon has stopped selling the 3.06GHz model. It is available through other affiliated retailers on Amazon, but Amazon itself has no 3.06GHz models left.
When AppleInsider called various resellers, they were informed that Apple had indicated fresh stock of iMacs would arrive sometime next week. The website believes that if those delivers not pan out or not include the 3.06GHz model, it would be further sign that NVIDIA-based iMacs with Mini DisplayPorts are on their way.
Like we said few days back, our sources tell us that Apple is working on various desktop models, but our sources are not giving a date for iMac release. We would again like to tell each of our readers that if you are planning to buy a new Apple desktop (any model) wait for few days.
