There is no doubt that BlackBerry smartphones have the least sophisticated web browser when compared to other smartphones. Well, RIM wants to change that and will follow Apple’s footsteps by using WebKit engine for its upcoming web browser. RIM. The company today demoed the new browser at Mobile World Congress and highlighted the page load speed and perfect ACID 3 web standard scores. The new browser for Blackberry will bring support for AJAX, CSS and HTML5. It will also support widgets coded using BlackBerry SDK as well as Java Intermediate Language. RIM didn’t say when the new browser will be released or whether it will be available for present BlackBerry devices. We have added the demo video of the new browser for BlackBerry below.
