Samsung today announced their new Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), a successor to the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab. The tablet has a 7-inch 1024 x 600 PLS LCD screen, dual core 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 3-megapixel back camera, VGA front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot.

The tablet measures 193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5 mm and weighs just 344 grams with 4,000 mAH battery. The most interesting feature of the Galaxy Tab 2 is the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but Samsung will be putting their spin on the UI with TouchWiz. It will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB models with optional HSPA+ support.

Samsung has announced shipping date or price, but we have heard that the Galaxy Tab 2.0 will be priced on the higher end and will ship in Q2 2012.
