In last two weeks many leaked images showing various components of upcoming iPad 3 have been posted by tech news websites. And now iLab Factory has gotten their hands on some of these components including the ultra high resolution Sharp LCD, the aluminum back panel and the dock connector. iLab Factory assembled these components together to see if they fit and they were as perfect match.

The Sharp LCD display and screw alignment in the aluminum back panel lined up perfectly showing that the new ultra high resolution panel was designed specifically for the iPad 3 prototype and most likely make it into the final product. Also the new dock connector was just right for the screw holes at the bottom of the aluminum back panels, indicating that these components were designed for next generation iPad 3.

Another interesting design change that iLab highlighted was for the new camera module mount on the back panel. From outside the size of the camera hole doesn’t look that different, but inside the back panel the camera module mount form has been completely redesigned and it slightly resembles the camera mount found in the iPhones. Especially the black mount form, which is used to reduce reflection and offer better isolation for the camera module resulting in improved image quality. This indicates that Apple is taking iPad camera seriously this time around and we should see some drastic improvements.
