NPD Group revealed the overall MP3 player sales ranking in US for 2010 to AppleInsider. And the most interesting thing was that iPod classic is still selling very well. Also, out of the top 10 MP3 players, 9 were Apple iPods. Sandisk Sansa Clip + 4GB was the only other MP3 player on the top 10 list, that to at number 10.

Apple dominated 2010 MP3 sales with top four places taken by iPod touch. The top place was taken by 3rd gen 8GB iPod touch, followed by latest 8GB touch model and 32GB touch models. 7th generation 160GB iPod Classic black was in 5th place followed by 4th gen 2GB iPod shuffle. The 7th, 8th and 9th spots were taken by 8GB iPod nano models.
