Samsung Introduce S5620 Monte Touchscreen Phone and Super AMOLED Bada Phone Coming on 14th Feb

Samsung today launched new S5630 Monte touchscreen feature phone that features Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz 2.0 plus user interface and offers quick access to social networking applications. The phone comes with 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 200MB internal memory, HSDPA (900/2100), quad band GSM/EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth A-GPS, Google Maps and microSD card slot. It measures 4.28” x 2.11” x 0.48” and weighs 3.24 ounces. Battery life on the phone is 298 minutes of 3G talktime and 454 hours of standby. Samsung will showcase S5630 Monte at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. No word on pricing or release date yet.

Also in Samsung Mobile related news, GSMArena claims that Samsung will launch the first Bada OS based phone at the Mobile World Congress press event on 14th February. The phone will feature Samsungs recently announced 3.3-inch 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display. The website has posted a picture comparing the Super AMOLED display to iPhone’s display that we have added below. It clearly shows the deep black levels offered by AMOLED display and Samsung’s new Bada UI, which is not that impressive.
