Microsoft has accidentally launched My Phone (aka SkyBox) mobile backup service, which they were going to announce at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, Spain on 16th February. The My Phone service offers 200MB of storage that can be used to backup contacts, calendar, tasks, photos, videos, text messages, music and documents directly from your mobile phone to the online service.
To use the My Phone service you simply download the application by browsing to getskybox on your mobile phone and then install it.  Once you have installed the application you can select what you want to backup via MY Phone app. After that the service will automatically backup your data once everyday between 11pm and 5am. The service will only work with Windows Mobile 6+ devices.
Right now you can’t sign up for the beta service as the registration page is missing, but we think by 16th Feb the beta service will be available to general public. You can get more information about the My Phone service on its website.
