T-Mobile Officially Launches Samsung Memoir the 8-Megapixel Camera Phone

T-mobile today announced the launch of Samsung Memoir – a full touchscreen mobile phone with 8-megapixel camera and many multimedia features. The Memoir is the highest megapixel camera phone available in US via a carrier.
The main feature of the phone is its 8-megapixel camera. The phone is designed to look, feel and work like a point-and-shoot digital camera. The camera has Xenon flash, 16x digital zoom, auto focus and five shooting modes. The Memoir can directly upload pictures taken from the camera to photo sharing sites like Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket and Snapfish.
The other features on the camera phone are touchscreen with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, Quad-band GSM/EDGE, 3G support, A-GPS, Bluetooth and microSD car slot. The phone measures 4.17” x 2.11” x 0.55” and weighs 4.4 ounces. The battery life on the phone is 5.5 hours talk time and 300 hours standby time.
Software features on the Memoir include SMS, MMS, instant messaging, e-mail, full HTML browser, music and video player. The Samsung Memoir will be priced $299 with 2-year contract and it will start shipping on 25th February.
