Olympus Introduces two SP series ultra zoom cameras and two Stylus Tough cameras. The SP series now offer up to 30X zoom, while the Stylus Tough series can withstand up to 6.6 foot drop, 22 pounds crushing pressure and 33 feet under water. Olympus SP-Series: The SP-800UZ and SP-600UZ are the two new SP series cameras. Olympus SP-800UZ is the world’s smallest camera with 30x optical zoom. The SP-800UZ comes with 14-megapixel image sensor, 3-inch LCD screen, 720p video recording, TruePic III image processor, autofocus tracking, magic filters, beauty mode, dual image stabilization, face detection, in-camera Panorama and intelligent auto mode. Olympus SP-800UZ will ship in March for $349.99 and is available on Amazon for pre-order The second ultra zoom camera SP-600UZ has almost similar specifications, but it comes will lower 12-megapixel sensor, smaller 2.7-inch LCD screen and shorter 15x optical zoom. Olympus Stylus Tough Series: The Stylus Tough series gets 8010 and 6020 cameras both featuring 14-megapixel sensors, 5x optical zoom, 720p video recording, various shooting modes and 2.7-inch sunlight visible LCD display. The main difference between the two cameras is in shock and water resistance they offer. The Stylus Tough 8010 can withstand 6.6 foot drop, 220 pounds pressure and 33 feet under water dive. On the other hand, Stylus Tough 6020 can withstand 5-foot drop and 16 feet under water dive. Both the cameras will ship by end of February.
