In October 2008, Apple launched their completely redesigned 13-inch MacBook. The laptop was made using the new unibody manufacturing process developed by Apple. The 13-inch MacBook came in two models, the $1,299 models with 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 160GB hard drive and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, whereas the $1,599 model came with 2.4GHz processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB hard drive, GeForce 9400M graphics and illuminated keyboard.
The performance and built quality of the new MacBook is unmatched in both price and size range. By using the 9400M graphics card Apple has improvement the graphics performance by a factor of 5 when compared to previous generation 13-inch MacBook. We completely agree with Laptop Mag’s conclusion “ It’s not just beautiful. It breaks the mold for thin-and-light notebooks. The new MacBook’s unibody aluminum construction, one-of-a-kind touchpad, and edge-to-edge glass display draw you in, but what impresses us most about Apple’s overhaul of its most popular portable is that it offers robust productivity and graphics performance without sacrificing endurance.”
