Sony has introduced their first LTE smartphone Xperia ion at CES 2012. The new handset features 4.6-inch 720p HD display with 1.5GHz dual-core processor offering stunning performance. “With Xperia ion, we’re bringing together several firsts that will take users beyond the smartphone,” said Paul Hamnett, President, Sony Ericsson North America. “Designed to deliver a seamless experience across the multiple screens we use to play, watch, listen, and share, Xperia ion is the gateway to entertainment when and – most importantly – where you want it.” Other features of the new handset are Android 2.3, 12-megapixel back camera with Exmor R sensor, 720p front camera, 1080p video recording, 16GB flash storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and microSD card slot. Sony Xperia ion will be available exclusively in US from AT&T in the second quarter. Check out the introductory video of Xperia ion below.
